Kalyani Lawry
Kalyani Lawry
Kalyani has a background as a Psychological Astrology practitioner and teacher and is known for the warmth and depth of her work. She lives in a forested area on the outer fringe of Melbourne, Australia and enjoys the visiting wild birds and kangaroos.
Drawn to yoga and meditation as a teenager, she spent two years travelling in Asia in the 1970s studying with a number of extraordinary teachers including Muktananda Paramahasa, Buddhadasa Bhikkhu in Thailand, and Javanese Sufi master Pak Subuh. Other significant influences have been Western mysticism and Taoism.
Meeting UG Krishnamurti in 1991 exploded all notions of a spiritual search. Kalyani met Sailor Bob Adamson in Melbourne in 1974 and again in India in 1976. In reconnecting with him in 2006, the old thinking habits and remnants of a sense of separation dissipated.
Following Bob’s encouragement, Kalyani began holding groups and passing on the same message that Nisargadatta had passed to him.
Kalyani is the author of Only That: the life and teaching of Sailor Bob Adamson and the recently published book A Sprinkling of Jewels
